Description

The Covid-19 pandemic has shed light to the importance of modeling infectious diseases data and to the shortcomings of the statistical and data-driven methodologies available to accurately predict outbreaks of diseases within a timely manner. This special issue addresses the modern approaches used to model these data, and an evaluation of the performance of these models, and the resulting impact in driving important management and/or policy decisions.
